CCS811 is a gas sensor chip system-on-chip (SSoC) + temperature and humidity sensor, which uses low-power sensing technology to detect indoor volatile organic compounds (VOC).
CCS811 has an integrated MCU, the sensor has onboard processing capabilities, without host intervention, can provide equivalent levels of carbon dioxide or total volatile organic compound (TVOC) index. At the same time, by using a separate gas sensor and MCU solution, CCS811 can save equipment inventory costs and save up to 60% of the total board area.
