For this question, our device is actually emitting ultrasonic to repel, and it is actually "Weird Sound" to animals. Pets are familiar with the environment, they won't react to the sound, just like human beings won't react to the weird sound in a safe place. But the pigeons are not familiar with the environment, they are aware when they enter your balcony, and then the device emits a weird ultrasonic, they will be scared and fly away. So our device works.

I actually bought one locally while I waited for these and it is identical and it works well. My only issue with the the one I got separately is that the internal recharging battery doesn’t hold charge so it only really works when the sun is on it. Hope these are better. In summary though we are not bothered by cats where I placed the other one so very excited to set these up but will charge them first.
