Samsung, known for its close partnership with Qualcomm Snapdragon, has historically used Qualcomm’s processors in its devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and even PCs. However, recent benchmarks reveal that Samsung might be making a shift in its strategy for certain tablet products. Instead of continuing its partnership with Qualcomm, the Samsung Tab S10+ will reportedly feature the MediaTek Dimensity Processor, signaling a significant change for the company.

A digital blogger recently shared a screenshot of the benchmark for the US version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+. The blogger mentioned that Samsung is testing a new tablet with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor. This suggests that the Samsung Tab S10+ Dimensity Processor will be used. If this is true, the National Bank version may also adopt Dimensity chips.
The screenshot shows that this device, codenamed SM-X828U, achieved single-core scores of 2141 points and multi-core scores of 6952 points in Geekbench 6. The processor core number and frequency shown below indicate that the device likely features MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9300+ processor.
Some netizens asked why Samsung no longer uses customized versions of Snapdragon. The blogger responded that Samsung may have done so due to power consumption and stability. As for whether the price will drop after replacing the Dimensity chip, the blogger said it is still unclear and everyone will wait and see.
Some netizens analyzed that the Dimensity 9300 and 9300+ are better for tablets. These processors run cooler than the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 at low loads.
