Samsung Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 Certification Details

Foreign media sources confirmed that the Samsung Z and Z Fold 5 models are SM-F731B and SM-F946B, respectively. Their TKDN values stand at 35.40% and 35.50%. Meanwhile, the Samsung Tab S9 series secured TKDN values as follows:

• Tab S9: 38.20% (Model: SM-X716B)
• Tab S9+: 36.20% (Model: SM-X816B)
• Tab S9 Ultra: 35.50% (Model: SM-X916B)

The TKDN value represents the minimum percentage of local raw materials, capital goods, and services used in the product, similar to China’s certification of origin.

Samsung Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 Expected Features

Both the Samsung Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 are expected to feature the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. The Z Flip 5 will support wireless charging, although the exact power output remains unknown. Meanwhile, the Z Fold 5 will include a wireless charging-sharing function.

In terms of camera specifications, the Samsung Z will retain its dual 12-megapixel rear camera setup. Additionally, it will run on One UI 5.1, based on Android 13.

Samsung Tab S9 Series Specifications

The Samsung Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra are also expected to include the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. Interestingly, another model in the Samsung Tab S9 lineup, the Tab S9 FE, recently appeared on the Geekbench 6 benchmarking platform. Unlike its counterparts, the Tab S9 FE will run on Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 chipset.

Samsung’s Upcoming Launch Event

As excitement builds, these newly certified Samsung devices could be officially unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event in July. With cutting-edge technology and premium features, the Samsung Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 will likely be the center of attention.
