Huawei Kirin PC processor performance revealed, equipped with self-developed GPU, comparable to Apple core

[Mobile China News]On January 18, a digital blogger exposed the rough specifications of the Huawei Kirin PC processor performance. The Huawei Kirin PC processor performance will feature 4×TSV large cores, 4×TSV mid-cores, Maleoon 910 8-10cu, and dual large-core NPUs (Ascend Lite). It will also include dual micro-core NPUs (Ascend Tiny), up to 32GB LPDDR5-6400, up to 2TB SSD, and 2 or 3×USB4.0. Users can expect performance comparable to the Apple A12Z. Huawei developed the Maleoon 910 GPU, which will power the system.

People understand that Apple designed the A12Z as an iteration of the A12X chip. Both chips are variants of the A12. Apple manufactures the A12Z using a 7nm process, with a frequency of 1.59GHz and an ability to accelerate to 2.49GHz. It has 8 GPU cores and handles graphics tasks quite well.

As early as last year, shortly after Huawei released the Mate60 series, rumors emerged that the company was working on the Hongmeng PC, and it had nearly completed the system construction. The launch is expected to occur this year. The Huawei Kirin PC processor performance will play a critical role in this new platform.

An insider analyzed, “I believe Hongmeng PC is inevitable. Currently, various manufacturers need to restructure PC systems because some capabilities can’t keep up with the pace of the Internet of Everything. We aim to offer users a more extreme interactive experience. The PC Win system will need improvement, or manufacturers will launch a new PC system compatible with Windows.”

Not only that, but the Hongmeng PC will also feature a dedicated Kirin processor. Although its performance may only be at the level of Apple’s processors a few years ago, it is more than enough, and this is just the beginning.
