Global PC market data in the first quarter of 2024
CANALYS chief analyst, Ishan Dutt, said: “The growth of the first quarter of 2024 laid a good foundation for the performance of the PC market throughout the year. Manufacturers and channels have adjusted the final stage of inventory, and the macroeconomic conditions of individual markets still inhibit demand. As the machine change cycle is approaching, the demand for the replacement of the enterprise has been prominent. In the past, the machine change cycle was longer than ever before. This created huge business opportunities for OEMs and their partners. Users now have access to innovative and attractive products. CANALYS predicts that, in 2024, AI PC shipments with a dedicated AI accelerator, like NPU, will reach nearly 50 million units.
