Huawei MateBook 14 Release: OLED Screen & New Features on May 15

Huawei will hold its summer full-scenario new product launch conference at 14:30 on May 15. On May 9, Huawei officially announced that it will unveil the new Huawei MateBook 14 at this conference. It is worth mentioning that this marks the first time Huawei’s MateBook digital series notebooks will feature OLED screens. Additionally, Huawei has introduced a new field green color option. This Huawei MateBook 14 release will be a significant milestone for the company, as it introduces a range of new features, including the OLED display.

Huawei MateBook 14 will be released in China on May 15th

Recently, Huawei held a global innovative product launch conference in Dubai. During the event, it showcased eight new products, including the Huawei MateBook 14. As a result, key details about the notebook were revealed.

The new Huawei MateBook 14 has received a comprehensive upgrade. It now comes with a 2.8K OLED screen that supports touch. This is the first time Huawei’s MateBook digital series notebooks feature an OLED touch screen. The screen has a 3:2 aspect ratio and measures 14.2 inches. It boasts a 10-bit color depth and supports sRGB, P3, and AdobeRGB color gamut switching. The display also uses 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, offers a maximum brightness of 450 nits, and has an average ΔE<1. In addition to supporting conventional ten-point touch, the notebook is compatible with the third-generation M-Pencil stylus, which offers excellent quality.

In terms of performance, the Huawei MateBook 14 uses an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H/Ultra 7 155H processor, equipped with a shark fin dual-fan cooling system. There is also an optional Super Turbo mode, which is faster when turned on. The speed of opening PPT files increases by 22.8%, and the speed of opening Excel files improves by 14.9%.

Huawei MateBook 14 has a thin and light design, weighing 1.31kg and 14.5mm thick. It has a built-in 70Wh battery and supports 19 hours of local video playback.

The notebook features a 1080p camera. It also has a variety of interfaces, including a full-featured USB-C interface, two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 interfaces, an HDMI interface, and a 3.5mm audio interface. These features make it very convenient to use.

In addition to the MateBook 14, which is the first to feature an OLED touch screen, Huawei also unveiled new products at the press conference on May 15th, including its thinnest and lightest smartwatch, the FIT 3.
