At the 2024 Future Memory Storage (FMS) event, Samsung launched its groundbreaking 122.88TB enterprise-class QLC (quad-layer cell) SSD, model BM1743. This new Samsung launches 122.88TB SSD is a PCIe 5.0 drive. It offers impressive sequential read speeds of up to 7.5GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 3GB/s. Additionally, it boasts a random read speed of 1.6M IOPS. The 16KB random write speed can reach up to 45K IOPS. With this release, Samsung continues to innovate with high-performance storage solutions in the enterprise sector.

In addition, Samsung also demonstrated its PM9D3a PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD, designed for mainstream data centers. The SSD will be available in a variety of sizes and connector options, including E1.S 9.5mm thick, E3.S IT, M.2, and U2. It has sequential read speeds of up to 12GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 6.8GB/s. Random read speeds are up to 2M IOPS, and random write speeds are up to 400K IOPS. The maximum capacity is 32TB, and the maximum storage capacity is 2TB in the M.2 version.

Samsung’s PM1753 is its next-generation flagship enterprise-grade SSD. It supports 16 NAND channels and offers up to 32TB of storage capacity. Additionally, it comes in two form factors: E3.S and U.2 SSD. Sequential read speeds can reach up to 14.8GB/s, while sequential write speeds go up to 11GB/s. Moreover, 4K random reads and writes are claimed to be 3.4M IOPS and 600K IOPS, respectively. Its performance is 1.7 times faster than the previous generation PM1743, and its efficiency is also improved by 1.7 times.
