In May, market research company Omdia released a report predicting that Apple may introduce OLED technology into the MacBook Pro series as early as 2026. This shift is expected to significantly increase the demand for OLED displays in the mobile PC market.
Omdia’s senior principal analyst, Ricky Park, noted that OLED displays will likely be applied to the MacBook Pro series in 2026. He further stated that this move could drive significant growth in OLED demand, with the market expected to exceed 60 million units by 2031.
Additionally, there are reports of a 13-inch MacBook Air featuring older OLED technology in development.
